Polestar 2 Electric Vehicle To Make Isle Of Wight Debut

The Polestar 2 Electric Vehicle will make its Island debut at the forthcoming Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce Business EXPO.

The car will be unveiled at Lakeside Park Hotel on September 22 where one lucky visitor will also win exclusive use of the car for the weekend.

The car is being brought to the Island for this official Polestar event by Paul and Nancy Thorley, founders of Cowes based Vehicle Consulting Solent.

The marque was launched in 2017 as a Scandinavian rival to Tesla, bringing an impressive blend of Swedish style, quality, safety and ability along with premium specifications.

Features include 11.2-inch touchscreen, voice controlled assistant, 0-60mph in 4.5 seconds and a range of over 270 miles with the ability to take an 80 per cent charge in just 40 minutes. The optional Performance Pack allows more enthusiastic drivers to enjoy a heightened experience with the fitment of manually adjustable Öhlins Dual Flow Valve dampers, 4-piston Brembo brakes, forged alloy wheels and, naturally, Polestar’s signature gold detailing inside and out.

Polestar is a premium performance Swedish auto brand focused on Electric Vehicles (EVs).

Paul Thorley, of Vehicle Consulting Solent, said:

"This is a huge massive coup for us and the Island, to get such an amazing, valued and rare car here exclusively.

"It shows the relationships myself and Nancy have built up over the past 20 years across the motor industry. Something we use daily to bring the very best in EVs for drivers and businesses across the Island.”

Following its Island debut at the EXPO, the car will be available for viewings and test-drives through Vehicle Consulting Solent.
