A man has been arrested for allegedly making threats to kill.
Police say a 28-year-old man from Newport was arrested in Daish Way, Dodnor Park shortly after midday.
There was a police presence at the Way Forward Program at 10am.
It is alleged the man made the threats by telephone.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said:
'We can confirm that officers arrested a man in Daish Way, Dodnor Park, shortly after midday today (Friday 18 June).
'The 28-year-old from Newport was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill, relating to alleged threats made by telephone.'
He remains in custody at this time.
