A mother and her child who found themselves stuck in woodland earlier today (Friday) prompted a call-out for coastguard teams.
The coastguard was called at around 2pm to reports that a woman and her child had deviated from the path at Devils Chimney near Ventnor.
Isle of Wight Radio's been told they 'found themselves stuck in the woodland after becoming concerned they might fall from the cliff'.
Bembridge and Ventnor coastguard rescue teams assisted.
The pair were found and brought back to safety.
