One person has been rescued following a fire in Cowes this afternoon (Tuesday).

The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service says it was called to Mill Hill Road at 12.50pm.
A fire broke out in a porch, causing smoke damage to a property.
A spokesperson for the fire service said:
"One male has been escorted from the building."
Two appliances, one from Newport and one from Cowes, are in attendance.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service has been called, according to the fire service.
The incident is ongoing.
