'Life Is Too Short!' John Giddings To Welcome Jess Glynne Back To The Isle Of Wight Festival 2021

EXCLUSIVE: Isle of Wight Festival boss, John Giddings, has confirmed Jess Glynne has been booked to play at the Isle of Wight Festival 2021.

The Hold My Hand singer controversially pulled out of her performance last year, moments before she was due on the Main Stage - with fans of all ages left devastated.

On Instagram at the time, she said:

"I got ready and was about to head to stage but I just couldn't do it. I was incredibly weak and full of anxiety.

"I can't help that my body sometimes gives up on me.

"The last thing I ever want to do is let people down, I am sorry to anyone who I upset it was not my intention. I had to do what was right for my physical and mental health.

"I am so, so gutted, sorry and upset that I couldn't perform yesterday."

The night before her scheduled performance last year, she had been on stage supporting the Spice Girls.

It was the second time the singer had been booked to play, but not performed. In 2015, she pulled out due to throat surgery. She did sing at the festival in 2016.

But now, it seems all is forgiven and Jess will be singing in front of thousands at Seaclose Park.

Speaking to Isle of Wight Radio, festival organiser, John Giddings said:

"What can I say, life is too short! The pandemic has made that obvious to all of us.

"Come on down, she wanted to do it, what else can you say?

"I think next year's line up might be even better than the one we had this year!"
