Lemon Hack That Will Help Stop Your Home Becoming A Spider Breeding Ground

It's spider-mating season, but there is one simple way to keep the eight-legged crawlies at bay in our homes.

According to Expert Home Tip, the best way to do this is to use lemons - because spiders can’t stand the smell of citrus.

You won’t need to waste the fruit, as just the peel is enough to send the creatures running.

Rub lemon peel over your windowsills, bookshelves, and anywhere else you usually find spiders and this will help move them along and out of your home - according to advice.

You can also make your own spider repellent by mixing 20 drops of lemon juice and water in a spray bottle.

Peppermint, Vinegar, Lavender and Conkers are also said to be key in stopping spiders from taking over.
