A 7-year-old girl from the Isle of Wight is having her debut short story published — thanks to the help of kind Islanders.
A Kickstarter campaign has raised its £200 target to make Josie's dream of "Oh Bird" being published become a reality.
She has so far raised £211, with any extra money likely to lead to additional copies of the book being printed — with many being donated to Lord Louis Library in Newport.
Josie's mum, Charlotte, explains:
"The story was so good I decided to create the illustrations for it in the hope of getting it published.
"We are really grateful to everyone who's donated to the Kickstarter campaign.
"Josie loves our local library and wants to donate some copies there."
Not content with her amazing achievement, ambitious Josie has two further stories she is hoping to turn into books.

People pledging £10 on Kickstarter will receive a signed copy of the book at the end of the fundraising period mid-May.
