An Isle of Wight man in his 20s is due in court today (Thursday), charged with attempted robbery.
Hampshire Constabulary says its officers were called to St Johns Hill in Ryde, at around 9pm on May 20.
Police say a man in his 30s was threatened and demands were made for money.
24-year-old Kieran James Thompson, of George Street in Ryde, was arrested and remanded in custody.
He will appear before Isle of Wight Magistrates this morning.
