Isle Of Wight Goalkeeper Signs For Championship Coventry City

Isle of Wight goalkeeper, Simon Moore, has signed for Coventry City.

The 31-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the club, until June 2024.

The shot stopper - who went to Sandown High School - began his professional career with Brentford in 2009, with his breakthrough season being the 2012/13 campaign when he made 52 appearances in all competitions and helped them reach the League One play-offs.

Cardiff City signed Moore the following season in the Premier League, while he also spent time on loan at Bristol City during his first season with the Bluebirds. He remained in the Wales until 2016, making 25 appearances, before ,moving to Sheffield United.

Moore made a total of 70 appearances for the Blades and was part of the squad that was promoted from League One to the Premier League..

Moore joins the Sky Blues, subject to EFL and FA approval, following the expiry of his contract with Sheffield United.
