Isle Of Wight Couple's Sweet Dreams Become Reality

An Isle of Wight couple's sweet dreams have become a reality with the opening of their first candy shop.

'Isle Love Sweets' formed as an online sweet delivery service during the first Covid-19 lockdown.

Two years on, it's now transformed into a shop on Pyle Street, Newport.

Katie Thorpe, who runs it alongside her partner Rob, said:

"It all started with a few boxes of sweets, a couple of mobile phones and Google maps!

"We started delivering sweets as way to keep our previous business viable during the first lockdown and it went from strength to strength from there.

"In 2020, we decided we should open a sweet shop. We searched and found the right premises and we are proud to say we are now open for business!"

The shop stocks in excess of 100 pick and mix varieties, classic retro, sweets, treats and drinks from around the globe, and a tango ice blast machine.

It's based at 91 Pyle Street, Newport.
