Isle Of Wight Coronavirus Case Rate Falls Again

Four new cases of coronavirus have been recorded on the Isle of Wight, but the Island's case rate has fallen once again.

The rolling rate, which is measured per 100,000, remains the third lowest in the UK.

It is now at 7.7. Yesterday (Tuesday) it stood at 9.9. 

The UK's rolling case average as of today is 60.4 per 100,000.

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 6,661 cases on the Island.

In total, 270 people have now died on the Isle of Wight after testing positive for the illness.

Two more people have passed away at St Mary's Hospital, as Isle of Wight Radio reported earlier.
