A sitcom set on the Isle of Wight looks set to return for a second series.

The Cockfields, featuring a quirky family on the Isle of Wight first appeared on UKTV channel Gold in November 2019.

The comedy, written by David Earl and Joe Wilkinson, looks set to be back on screens next year.

It's understood filming for Series 2 was scheduled to go ahead on the Island this August, but with the coronavirus lockdown causing restrictions on TV production across the industry, dates have yet to be confirmed.

The cast list also features Sue Johnston, who plays Simon's mum; Bobby Ball as his stepdad; and Ben Rufus Green as his stepbrother, David. Nigel Havers plays Simon's father, who is dating a notably younger girlfriend, played by Sarah Parish.
