At a holiday park on the Isle of Wight, police have arrested a man on suspicion of involvement in the supply of LSD.

Officers said they detained the suspect yesterday evening (June 12) as they attended reports of a man becoming violent towards friends at Lower Hyde Holiday Park on Languard Road.

Police searched a caravan after the alarm was raised at 5.53pm.

They detained a 21-year-old man from Guildford who's since been released under investigation.

The search was carried out under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

A man in his 20s who was reportedly violent was taken to St. Mary's Hospital, where his condition on Sunday morning was not thought to be life-threatening.

According to the law in the UK, LSD has no legitimate uses, and its unauthorized possession could result in a jail sentence of up to 7 years together with an unlimited fine.

Dealing in it is punishable with life imprisonment and an unlimited fine.
