Greyhounds Victoria and Albert

There are hopes of rehoming a unique pair of Greyhounds called Albert and Victoria - together on the Isle of Wight.

EXCLUSIVE

Wight Track kennels based in Kent, successfully rehomes retired Greyhounds on the Island and they want the beautiful brother and sister to stay together.

The five-year-olds are said to be exceptionally loving and Albert resembles similar markings to Prince Albert’s much-loved Greyhound Eos!

Post coronavirus, the rehoming team would come back to the Island once a month and meet up with dogs they have set up with families on the Island for their retirement.

Julie Meadows, at Wight Track Kennels in Kent told Isle of Wight Radio:

“Greyhounds make great pets, I’ve got three myself, they are very loving and just love one another. They just want a retired forever home on the Isle of Wight to spend their retirement. We want them to stay together.”

Asked how other dogs have done who have retired on the Island, she said:

“Amazingly! And we always like to meet up once a month for the retired Greyhound walks - obviously, that’s been put on hold. But we can have up to around 30 of the dogs that have been adopted by us - we also like to bring dogs over to the Island so people can make appointments with us."
