Get Fit, Raise Money And "Eat Your Way Around The Isle Of Wight"

Isle Access, a leading local accessible travel and tourism charity, is inviting people to embark on a new culinary journey initiative.

"Eat Your Way Around the Isle of Wight" will take place throughout June and allows visitors to enjoy viewing the diverse and delectable cuisine the Isle of Wight has to offer whilst keeping active and raising money.

The interactive virtual reality experience offers visitors the opportunity to explore the island's thriving food scene.

With a curated list of high end restaurants, charming cafes, and traditional pubs, participants can savour a wide range of culinary delights.

From fresh seafood sourced straight from the surrounding waters to locally grown fruits and vegetables, the Isle of Wight's cuisine is a celebration of its natural resources.

Jan Brookes, founder and CEO of Isle Access said:

“Not only is this a fundraising event for us, it’s also a great opportunity to showcase some of our great eateries and food producers.

"Hopefully many people will sign up for the challenge and take part throughout June."

Participants will have the chance to discover famous Isle of Wight specialties, from recognisable establishments such as Ventnor Botanic Gardens to new local delights such as GG’s restaurant and the Binstead Arms.

Isle Access has been supported with this mission by more than 20 local eateries which has resulted in a comprehensive guide to ensure participants make the most of their virtual culinary adventure.

By completing daily exercises, the participants will gradually move around the guided adventure on their app.

"Eat Your Way Around the Isle of Wight" mixes physical exertion with virtual discovery, with the aim to hopefully encourage diners to new places but also to raise money for the charity.
