A crash at Whiteley Bank has led to fears of a gas leak.
Three appliances from Shanklin, Ventnor and Ryde are in attendance.
Firefighters with gas monitoring equipment are at the scene.
They were called at 3.34pm.
A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue said it's feared "a vehicle has hit a gas pipe and a house".
Shanklin Road and Canteen Road are blocked.
Southern Vectis says its buses are diverting.
There are delays in the area.
