Free Business Advice For Isle Of Wight Farmers And Landowners

Landowners and farmers on the Isle of Wight are being offered the chance to get free business advice.

Natural Enterprise, working in partnership with Wight Farm Admin and other rural groups has secured funding to provide resilience support to Island farmers.

The way that farming in Britain is supported by the Government is changing and the aim of the project is to support Isle of Wight famers and landowners through this period of transition.

Between now and February 2022 a series of seminars, workshops and one to one business advice is to be made available.

The aim is to help businesses to understand the changes that are happening, identify how, what and when business changes will be required and how to access tailored support.

Robyn Munt, Wight Farm Admin said:

"We are keen for this support to reach all farmers and land managers on the Island, big or small and regardless of what type of business they are. Post-Brexit, farming is set to undergoing significant change and we want to help individual businesses to adapt to these changes and move forward profitably. A prosperous farming sector is the corner stone of the Island’s rural economy”.

Graham Biss, Natural Enterprise added:

“This is an Island focused project delivered by Island advisors. If sufficient demand is demonstrated for this pilot project, it is hoped that a more extensive programme of support will be made available. We encourage all famers to sign up”
