Four People Arrested In Connection With Death Of Ryde Man

Police have arrested four people in connection with the murder of a man in Ryde.

Police attended a flat in George Street on the afternoon of Tuesday January 4, where the body of 33 year old Scott Cooper, who was from Newport, was discovered.

Today (Tuesday), as part of this investigation, officers conducted warrants at addresses including: George Street, Warwick Street, Star Street, and Quarry Road in Ryde.

During this activity, a 25-year-old man and a 41-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

In addition, two men who were previously arrested on suspicion of murder – a 28-year-old and a 29-year-old – were re-arrested today on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

All four men remain in custody at this time.

Piers Carl Brazier, aged 38, of George Street in Ryde has been charged with murder, and will appear in court this week (Thursday).

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said:
