Four Arrested Following Cowes Assault As Man In 60s Suffers Facial Injuries

Four people have been arrested after a man in his 60s was assaulted in Cowes last night (Thursday).

Two of the men arrested, aged 19 and 21, are from Cowes, while the others are a 19-year-old from Ryde and 21-year-old from Newport.  

They remain in custody at this time.

A spokesperson for the Hampshire Constabulary said:

"We are investigating an assault against a man in his 60s on Milton Road, Cowes.

"The incident took place at around 8pm last night, and the man suffered facial injuries.

"Four people have been arrested in connection with this incident on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm."

UPDATE 4.35pm:

An 18-year-old man from East Cowes has now been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

The other four men have now been released with no further action.
