Staff contracting COVID means the floating bridge is off once again this morning.
The Isle of Wight Council says "a number" of employees have caught the illness over the past few days.
A foot passenger replacement service is in place until 8pm.
While the vessel is off the council will take the opportunity to carry out preventative maintenance.
It was originally scheduled for the evenings of July 4, 5 and 6.
