The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service says it has been called to a property fire.
All occupants of the house are accounted for, according to the fire service.
Four appliances are in attendance at Heathfield Road, having been called at 8.06pm.
Thick black smoke can be seen billowing through the sky.
