Firefighters have been called to a property in Cowes this morning (Monday).
Crews from Newport were called to Mill Hill Road at 7.52am.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said a fire was reported on top of an oven.
Fortunately, the blaze was out when crews arrived.
Firefighters helped to ventilate the home and also fitted two smoke alarms.
Crews are now standing down.
