Reports of a man hitting a dog in Shanklin led to a police call-out this afternoon (Friday).
Hampshire Constabulary says it was called to Regent Street at 10.52am.
Officers had received reports of a two men 'fighting' outside Poundland.
Reports on social media suggest the fight broke out after a dog was hit.
Police say they attended but the two men had already parted ways and left the area prior to our attendance.
