Emergency Services In Late Night Call To Vehicle Leaking Petrol

Emergency services were called to East Cowes last night following reports of a vehicle leaking petrol.

Police and fire service crews attended Haven Close, with the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire Service arriving at 830pm and police officers joining at 9pm..

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said:

"We were called out at 9pm yesterday evening (Friday) to assist Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service following reports that a vehicle was leaking petrol on Haven Close in East Cowes.

"Enquiries were made to identify the rightful owner of the vehicle and passed over to Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service."

With the leak under control, the services left the scene shortly before 10pm.
