Emergency services have been called to a crash on the Isle of Wight this afternoon (Sunday).

The incident, involving at least two vehicles, took place at Knighton Shute on the outskirts of Newchurch.

There are delays reported as a result of the incident.

We have contacted Hampshire Constabulary for further information.

UPDATE 5.07pm

Hampshire Constabulary said:

"We were called at 2.11pm this afternoon by colleagues from the ambulance service reporting a two-vehicle collision in Ryde.

"A white Citroen and grey Volkswagen Polo collided on Rowlands Lane at the junction of Lime Kiln Shute. Minor injuries were reported."
