Emergency Services Called To Shanklin Crash

Emergency services have been called to a crash in Shanklin this afternoon (Friday).

It's happened at Carter Avenue, near the town's Co-Operative store on Landguard Road.

Isle of Wight Radio has been told two cars are involved.+

The incident has occurred close to Shanklin Police Station.

Officers are said to be on scene. 

Southern Vectis buses are diverting.

Updated 2.25pm

Firefighters from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue have been called for 'scene safety'.

One appliance from Shanklin is in attendance.

The service was alerted at 2.05pm.
