Emergency services were called to Newport last night (Friday) after a crash left a motorcyclist injured.

A spokesperson for the Hampshire Constabulary said:

"We were called out at 6.56pm yesterday evening (11 Feb) to assist Isle of Wight Ambulance service following reports of a two-vehicle collision at the junction of Foxes Road and Mill Street in Newport.

"A black Yamaha had been involved in an incident with a blue Mazda.

"Paramedics were on-scene to check on the motorcyclist, who was believed to have suffered minor leg injuries as a result."
