A road in Ventnor which connects the town and the esplanade has been closed for emergency repair works.
Pier Street, from its junction with Albert Street to its junction with Church Street, is shut for a distance of 71 metres - according to Island Roads.
Southern Water are working to repair a leak.
Diversions are in place.
