Firefighters, police and ambulance crews have been called to reports of a person trapped.
Two fire appliances from Ryde and one from Shanklin - and a specialist unit - are on scene.
A number of units can be seen in Kern Lane.
The Air Ambulance has also been called.
The alarm was raised at 12.24pm.
