A 35-year-old Isle of Wight man was arrested on suspicion of drug-driving in Newport yesterday afternoon (Monday).
Officers had spotted a vehicle of interest on Forest Road in Newport, and spoke to the driver when the vehicle had stopped.
Following a roadside drug wipe, the man was arrested on suspicion of drug driving.
Officers also seized a bundle of cash and a sock containing large metal dumbbell nut.
The man was further arrested on suspicion of possession of criminal property, and possession of an offensive weapon, before being transported to custody.
He has been bailed until August 21 while further enquiries continue.
