Crown Court Date For Former Isle Of Wight Businessman Charged With Child Sex Offences

A former Isle of Wight businessman - accused of a series of serious child sex offences - has had his case sent to the Isle of Wight Crown Court.

Former president of the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce, Peter Tomlinson, appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court today (Tuesday).

The 63-year-old, of Baring Road, Cowes, did not enter a plea this morning.

He is charged with six counts of paying for the sexual services of a girl aged under 13 ­- one including bestiality.

He is also charged with paying for the sexual services of a girl aged under 18.

The charges relate to dates between January 1, 2017 and October 10, 2019.

Mr Tomlinson is also a former owner of Betapak and JR Zone. He no longer has connections to these businesses.

He is due to appear at the Isle of Wight Crown Court on March 5.
