Cowes Shopping Arcade Installs Air Purifying Equipment Ahead Of Easing Of Restrictions

Four Virus Killer™ air purifying units and an automated walk-through temperature checker have been installed at Cowes Town Central Shopping Arcade, ahead of the easing of Covid restrictions on July 19.

The new high-tech equipment is said to remove airborne viruses — helping to create the safest possible environment for shoppers.

The themed indoor shopping street on Cowes High Street says it has experienced unprecedented community interest and is keen to take a responsible approach to the safety of customers and team members.

Steve Tewkesbury owner of Cowes Town Central Ltd said:

"During the second lockdown we redecorated the building street façade and opened with 12 indoor shops.

"We continued investing in new shops within our building during the pandemic lockdown,  and have now installed the most advanced high tech equipment to purify the air within the building in readiness for the restriction loosening next week.

"What we have done is implement an advanced pre-emptive strategy and create a safe shopping and working environment for Islanders and Island visitors."
