Just one new coronavirus case was recorded on the Isle of Wight on Sunday, official statistics said.

That's a fall from Saturday's figure of two, though such small numbers mean that the margin of proportional error can be very large.

Additionally, the Isle of Wight's rolling case rate continues to fall.

The Island's rolling seven-day case rate, per 100,000 population, is 11.3, down from Saturday's figure of 16.

The UK's average as of Sunday is 69 per 100,000.

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 6,653 cases.

In total, 264 people have now died on the Isle of Wight after testing positive for the illness.
