Coronavirus: Over 4,000 Isle Of Wight Tests In A Week - But How Many Were Positive?

Just under three per cent of coronavirus tests on the Isle of Wight have come back as positive in the last seven days, it's been revealed.

According to data provided by the Isle of Wight Council, around 4,076 tests have been carried out in the past week on the Island.

Of those, the Isle of Wight's Director of Public Health said 106 tests have come back as positive - that equates to 2.6 per cent of tests.

Speaking at today's Local Outbreak Engagement Board meeting, Simon Bryant said 97 per cent had come back as negative.

In the week leading up to yesterday (11), it was revealed that the Island had an infection rate of 74.8 per 100,000.

770 coronavirus tests have come back as positive since the start of the pandemic, as Isle of Wight Radio previously reported.
