Coronavirus: Isle Of Wight's Rolling Rate Continues To Fall

The Isle of Wight has recorded a further 17 cases of coronavirus in today's (Wednesday's) daily figures.

The Island's rolling rate, per 100,000 people, continues to fall however.

It remains below the national average at 102.3. Yesterday (Tuesday) it was at 107.9.

The UK's rolling rate is 136.5, per 100,000 people.

Yesterday, the Island recorded just three cases - its joint lowest daily rise so far this year.

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 6,574 positive cases on the Isle of Wight.

In total, 252 people have now died on the Isle of Wight after testing positive for the illness. 

Yesterday, Isle of Wight Radio revealed there had been a rise in care home deaths.
