Coronavirus: Isle Of Wight Records Additional 36 Cases

Another 36 cases of coronavirus have been recorded on the Isle of Wight.

Today's (Wednesday's) daily figures have been published - and they are up on yesterday's (Tuesday's) total of three.

The Isle of Wight's rolling coronavirus rate continues to remain below the national average, however.

As of today, the Island's rolling rate has fallen at 123.4. Yesterday, it was at 136.8.

The UK average is 190.6 per 100,000.

The seven-day rolling rate is used to measure patterns or trends in the Government's coronavirus figures.

Of the 6,447 positive results recorded on the Island since the start of the pandemic, 4,539 came last month (January).

Since the start of the pandemic, coronavirus has been mentioned on the death certificates of 224 Islanders.

No further deaths have been recorded in today's NHS England figures.
