Coronavirus: Isle Of Wight Coronavirus Case Rate Falls Again

Friday's figures show the Isle of Wight's rolling coronavirus case rate has fallen again.

When looking at Upper Tier Local Authorities, the Island has the fifth lowest case rate in the UK.

The Government's Lower Tier Local Authority list puts the Island in ninth lowest.

The Island's rolling average now stands at 9.6 per 100,000. The UK average is 57.7.

The rate is used to measure patterns or trends in the Government's coronavirus figures over a period of seven days.

Since the start of the pandemic, 6,723 cases have been registered here.

 

In total, 280 people have now died on the Isle of Wight after testing positive for the illness.
