Coronavirus: Interactive Map Reveals Deaths Recorded On Isle Of Wight

Interactive Map ONS

Islanders are now able to find out how many coronavirus-related deaths have been recorded within their postcode area.

An interactive map shows the number of residents to have died, where coronavirus was the underlying cause or mentioned on a death certificate.

The online Office for National Statistics (ONS) tool records the number of deaths (77) on the Island between March and May.

As of today (Tuesday), that figure now stands at 82, as Isle of Wight Radio previously reported.

According to ONS data, Freshwater and Yarmouth have seen the most fatalities with 18. Gurnard and Cowes have registered 17.

47 people have now recovered from the illness and been discharged from St Mary’s Hospital, according to the NHS Trust.

Isle of Wight Radio has asked for an update from the Isle of Wight NHS Trust.
