Improvement works at Coppins Bridge will finish today (Wednesday).
Island Roads has revealed that the final phase of the project to upgrade traffic signals and pedestrian crossings will be finished by the end of the day.
The overall Coppins Bridge project is the last element of an Islandwide programme, under the Highways PFI, to upgrade all traffic signals and pedestrian crossings
However, Island Roads has said that it may take 'several days for the lights to fully synchronise to allow optimum traffic flow' around the busy Newport junction.
