A car has collided with a pedestrian in Newport today (Tuesday).
Police were called at 11.54am to reports of a collision on Wellington Road involving a Mercedes and a pedestrian.
The person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said:
'We were called at 11.54am with reports of a collision on Wellington Road, Newport, involving a Mercedes and a pedestrian.
'The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries.'
