Brexit support is available for Isle of Wight businesses thanks to the New Rules: Ready program, launched by Solent Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).
The programme gives small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Solent region the opportunity to receive up to five hours of one-to-one support tailored to their business’ needs from specialist Brexit Transition Advisors.
The Brexit Transition Business Advisers have local knowledge of the Solent region and have sector expertise in sectors including; technology, creative, digital, AI and data, manufacturing and advanced engineering, life sciences and health, renewable energy and marine and defence.
As part of this support, the Brexit Transition Business Advisers:
- Help businesses identify the actions they need to take for their business in response to Brexit.
- Work with businesses to develop a detailed, flexible and bespoke action plan.
- Help businesses feel confident that they have done everything possible to succeed with the new rules in place.

I'm delighted that some have already taken up this opportunity and hope that other businesses who are needing support in navigating the new rules will do the same. Our specialist Brexit Transition Advisors are on hand to guide them through any challenges they are facing as a result of Brexit.”
Businesses that take up this opportunity will have the same Brexit Transition Business Adviser supporting them throughout the process and they will even check in with them to measure progress and to see if they need further help.
