Bottled Water Handed Out To Yarmouth Residents Affected By Burst Water Main

Residents in Yarmouth who are affected by a burst water main have been given bottles of water while the issue is being fixed.

As previously reported last night (Monday), a number of homes and businesses have been affected.

A Southern Water spokesperson said:

"Our emergency works to repair the burst water main at Wilmingham Lane In Yarmouth, Isle of Wight are likely to continue into the early hours (Tuesday) because of the complexity of the fix.

"We have also temporarily closed the road in order for us to complete these works.

"We’ve been delivering bottled water to vulnerable customers but bottled water is available, for properties affected by the burst, in the main car park opposite Wight Link at Bridge Road.

"We’re sorry for the inconvenience caused and thank everyone for their patience."
