Bob Seely MP Meets Isle Of Wight NHS Frontline Staff

MP Bob Seely with NHS frontline staff

The Island's MP has met frontline NHS staff to hear how their services have evolved as a result of the pandemic.

MP Bob Seely has met with them to also discuss their longer-term plans.

During his visit Mr Seely met with paramedics, the Patient Transport Service, lead clinicians and took a tour of the 111 and 999 call handling service.

He said:

“I am grateful to the Ambulance Service for inviting me to meet with them and I was glad to be able to thank them.

“Our ambulance crews, along with other frontline NHS staff, do a very important job, especially so during the pandemic. I thank them very much for their work.

“I will be working closely with the service - and the NHS Trust - to ensure that both the NHS and Government is listening to their ideas and requests for support."

Darren Cattell, Deputy Chief Executive at Isle of Wight NHS Trust said:

“Colleagues in our Ambulance Service and our partners have worked incredibly hard throughout the pandemic and we welcomed the opportunity to talk about the challenges the service has faced and what they have achieved for our community.

“The Ambulance Service is a vital part of the NHS on the Island and I join Bob in praising the hard work and dedication of our staff.”
