Blackgang Chine's Terror Island Has The 'Scare-Factor'

VIDEO: The Isle of Wight’s biggest award-winning scare event, Terror Island, premiered with its exclusive Press Night last Friday (15).

The evening was attended by hundreds of guests, industry professionals and influencers from across the UK - and has been met with glowing reviews.

Dominic Wray, Event Director, said:

“We hosted our Preview Night to say thank you to all of the amazing companies that we work with to produce the event and we’ve had nothing but positive feedback from everyone who joined us. We’re really blown away by the reviews and can’t wait to show everyone this Friday.”

Michael Bolton, from ScareCON, said:

“It’s very rare to go to a scare event where you can’t decide which is the best and which is the weakest maze. But after a night at Terror Island and  following a lot of discussion between the team we are still so completely undecided as to which maze at the event is the best - they are all EQUALLY as amazing as each other!”

Terror Island will open its gates to the public this Friday (22) from 6pm.

Alongside the critically acclaimed scare mazes, Terror Island is hosting street performances, including knife and fire shows from some truly unsettling characters, a live band, DJ, and epic rides.

If you think you’ve reached your peak of scream velocity, there are plenty of opportunities to recharge. Head to the Street Food Bar with a brand-new menu of dirty fries, nachos and churros, with beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks. For those with a sweet tooth, there are desserts in iScream with waffles, the Isle of Wight’s first black whippy, flaming marshmallows and the Isle of Wight Distillery Cocktail Bar.

This ultimate night out just got even better with coach transfers from Newport available exclusively on October 29 and 30. This is a limited availability offer, with tickets available when purchasing your standard entry on their website.
