Award Winning Isle Of Wight Bakery 'Sad' To Shut Up Shop

Grace's Bakery with ones of their awards

An award-winning bakery on the Isle of Wight is closing one of its shops on the Island.

Grace's Bakery, which was commended for its outstanding support in the local community during the pandemic, says it is 'sad' to announce the Cowes store will close permanently.

According to staff, the landlord will not be renewing the lease, which has come to an end.

Staff will also be relocated to its shops in Newport High Street and Pyle Street.

It will shut from this Friday.

Posting on Facebook, staff said:

'We are very sad to announce that our little shop in Cowes will be closing permanently from this Friday. It's been such a pleasure to serve the people of Cowes over the past 12 years and we are endlessly grateful to all our customers that have supported us during that time. Unfortunately our lease has come to an end and our landlord will not be renewing it. So...it is an end of an era!

'Our staff will be relocated to our Newport High Street and Newport Pyle Street stores, so we would love to welcome our Cowes customers there. Don't forget, we can also deliver to you for free Monday to Friday when you spend £8 or more in our online shop.
