Appeal For Missing Freshwater Man As Major Search Continues

An appeal has been launched for a missing Freshwater man, as a major search continues to find him.

Mottistone is among the areas of focus for police officers searching for Christopher Wray, as Isle of Wight Radio reported.

The 45-year-old was last seen at around 1am today (Monday), and his family are extremely concerned for his welfare.

Volunteers from WightSAR - the Island's search and rescue team - and the police helicopter (NPAS) are also looking for Christopher.

Police say searches are also underway in woodland around Brighstone.

Christopher is described as being white, around 5ft 7ins tall, of slim build and with grey hair.

If you have seen him or have any information on his whereabouts, then please call police on 101 quoting the reference 623 of today's date (August 16).

Police have confirmed Christopher has been found.
