Angels Set To Take Flight In St Helens

The annual Village of Angels event will be launched in St Helens this Saturday (December 4th).

The Christmas fayre launch will take place from 5pm to 8pm in the Pavilion on the village green and in the Winter Wonderland garden at The Vine Inn, with a range of seasonal stalls together with Christmas games and Santa’s grotto.

Carol singers will be performing during the event and the village Christmas tree lights will be switched on at 6pm. The tree will be decorated with angels made by children at the village school.

Sarah Elliott, vice chair of St Helens Parish Council and chief organiser of the event, said:

“Village of Angels has become a regular part of the calendar in St Helens and always shows the artistic ingenuity and creativity of residents.

"This year we will be raising money to support events we will be running next summer to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee."

A Map will be available on the day to help people find angels at various locations around the village.
