Age UK Isle Of Wight Launches Survey To Improve Services

Age UK Isle of Wight wants to know how they can further improve their services.

The charity has launched an online survey and is inviting Islanders - whether you use their services or not - to contribute.

During lockdown, the charity offered free support in the form of shopping and prescription delivery alongside regular welfare and befriending calls.

They also helped to raise spirits by working with Care in the Garden to deliver over 500 geraniums to older residents who were self-isolating at home.

Post lockdown they have continued to support clients as they come out of shielding to help them navigate the ‘new normal’ that we find ourselves in.

CEO Jo Dare said:

“The impacts of Covid-19 continue to be felt throughout the community not least among our existing clients and as a charity, we too – like so many others - need to reflect on what we do and how we do it. We are keen to find out what services really matter to people and whether there are areas that are currently not covered that we perhaps ought to be considering.”

The closing date of the survey is Monday 30 November, and the findings will be discussed in a series of focus groups with different participants before a final report is produced to help the Charities Trustees with future planning and decision making.

You can take part in their online survey through the charity’s website www.ageukiw.org.uk or by clicking here.
