Age UK Isle Of Wight Hosts Powder Run Fundraiser This Weekend

The Powder Run returns to the Isle of Wight this weekend (Saturday).

Charity Age UK wants all ages to take on their fun-filled family-friendly colour obstacle course.

You can run (or walk!) your way around the rainbow course at Porchfield Cricket Club.

Running alongside The Powder Run will be a fun day! - Dogs shows with ‘Barking Mad’, funfair games, bouncy castle, bake sale, bbq, bar, stalls and much more. The fun day is free entry, free parking and offers fun for the whole family!

Elisha Leachman, Age UKIW’s Fundraising Manager, said:

“We are so excited for this year’s Powder Run! Our colour course is going to be brighter than ever, we offer traditional old school obstacles inclusive for all ages and abilities, and we hope you will join us in running (or walking!) through our rainbow of powder whilst helping to raise some much-needed funds your local charity. Every penny we raise stays on the Island, and will help Age UK Isle of Wight to support our older Island residents.”

Entry to The Powder Run is £10 for Adults, £5 for Children (13 or under) and small additional sponsorship is welcomed. Participants have the flexibility to work their way around in their own groups and every pre-registered participant gets a rainbow pack and a medal of completion.

The Powder Run is kindly sponsored by NFU Mutual Isle of Wight, Red Squirrel Property Ltd, Biscoes Solicitors, and Red Funnel Ferries.

To register today visit: ageukiw.org.uk / Facebook @AgeUKIW. For more information about our Powder Run or AgeUKIW contact the Fundraising Department by calling: 07970755231 or by emailing: [email protected].

The event starts at 2pm.
