A sixteen-year-old boy has been left with a head injury after being involved in a crash near Sandown.
Hampshire Constabulary said it was called to the incident on Lake Bridge, Sandown Road, at 12.54pm, where a pedestrian and a Volkswagon Polo had collided.
The teenager was taken to St Mary's Hospital by the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
The incident is said to be ongoing, and motorists are asked to avoid the area.
